Maiko Kikuchi
Maiko Kikuchi is a New York-based artist whose practice spans a wide range of media including illustration, painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, animation, puppetry, and performance. With "Day Dream"—the state between reality and the surreal—as her central theme, she creates works that invite viewers into whimsical and curious worlds. Her puppet and performance pieces, which she writes, directs, and performs herself, have been presented at major venues such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Public Theater and La MaMa Experimental Theatre in New York.
